Plant Building Design

Posted August 12th, 2008 by Bryan in Drafting

This was to be a simple water plant with lime storage. Unfortunately, the building wasn’t pretty enough to make the grade so it was trashed. This design was originally sketched out on notebook paper from there I designed the rest of the structure, and its details. The only other input was on the hypoclorite system and SCADA requirements.

Gas Water and Sewer Base Maps

This is where a lot of my work resides. I created these bases from hand sketches dating back to the 1950′s. A couple of years, several employees, and several base maps later, they are now geo referenced with tiff and topology data. These three maps see daily updates in house, and are available to the crews, engineers, and office employees 24-7. I wish I could provide a better view, but the information is confidential.

More 3D Water Plant Renderings

Two of these designs were provided by Engineers, the other two, and the octagon plant I posted previously, were designed by me. I did all the preliminary plans and 3D renderings. Plans were done in Map 3D, and renderings were done in Sketchup.
